I never post, but I feel the need today.
I know there is going to be a lot of "fire Gregg Brandon" posts, or the always fun to read "we suck" variety, and maybe they are warrented.
But look at the standings. Miami is struggling (thus far) against EMU, and Ohio will not finish the the MAC season with only 2 losses. Therefore, we are still in fine position to win the East, and still have as good a chance as ever to win the MACC.
Also, whenever a Brandon team gets blown out, I seem to recall a trend of taking frustrations out on the next week opponents (well, save Ball State). This is good, considering we play Akron, one of only a few who has any chance at the division title.
So in conclusion, yes, there are positives that we can take from this. One: Turner got considerable playing time. Two: Omar will be back next year (though, to tell you the truth, I wish he didn't have to). Three, the blowout will hopefully wake this team and coaching staff up for the home stretch of the schedule.
You can call me overly positive or naive, but I am not a fair weather fan. I'm sure, though, we will be able to single those out by the end of this week.

There are no positives from that game. You can NOT lose by 31 points when you are a 25 point favorite and playing at home. Jacobs injury is no excuse. That was absolutely the most pathethic, uninspired, disinterested looking team I have ever seen.
Every facet of the game was disappointing. Western smacked us in the mouth (literally and figuratively) at every chance and we just stood there and took it.
Words cannot express how disappointing this loss is.

What happened?
Ok...I just caught the score a few mintues ago. Was busy today and couldn't make it to the game, couldn't follow it on gametracker, and I can't get it on radio. I've only been able to put together small tidbits of what happened, so I must ask the question...
What the f**k Happened??
pardon my french, but I didn't think this thread would mind too much

Here's another little vent that, to me, points out how bad a coach Brandon is. Pope and Partridge are both hurt and weren't supposed to play. So what happens when we get down a couple of scores? He throws Pope and Partidge out into the game. What kind of message does that send to the other guys? Does he have that little confidence in Lane and the other WRs that he thinks throwing two injured guys into the game is gonna help? He paniced and it only hurt our offense putting Pope out there for a series.
If guys can play they should play. If they are hurt, they shouldn't play. It shouldn't be based on the score or the opponent. Your hurt or your not.

I understand that, but it should be the other way around. The students should say to the parents: "This is college, we go to the football games and support our team."jeremyp wrote:A lot of my friends had parents here and their folks didn't wanna go to the game, that's probably why.
