Oh, but I do have an argument. Your argument for why I do not have an argument is pretty poor though. I wasn't "coming down" on you, man. Chill out. People leaving early plagues most MAC schools, not just BG. At least you went for the first half...which is more than one can say for most in the BG area.
Actually I was at the entire game. I know that I phrased my posts like I left at half but I didn't. Furthermore if you were not at the game yourself for whatever excuse that you use thats fine. Be an online fan I don't care, we need all the fans we can get
Here is what you said earlier: "On another note, don't accuse us of being fairweather fans because we left early when we were getting stomped."
Why would you say that if you were at the entire game?
I'm just trying to give you a hard time, relax. We lost, but it had nothing to do with fans leaving early.

AFter over 30 years of watching BGSU football, I think today was the worst day. The Ankney years were painful but we didn't expect to win. But we expected to win this one- or at least try.

I feel bad for our players and our fans. Omar;s loss was a big blow- but Turner settled in ok. We had over 470 yards and only scored 14 flippin points.

Whomever said that WM wanted it more. It certainly seemed that way.

I am of the opinion that you need to put people, players or your employees in a place to succeed. We are not succeeding with the punt formation- so why set them up to potentially fail everytime. We can't kick a field goal- so why try with the offense we have? Of course, it is blocked and picked up and run back 50 yards.

I will be there next week and all the months and weeks and years after.

But Matt, if I could have gotten a ride home, I would have left early for the first time in my life. It was brutal to watch. Just brutal.

The Falcons have some work to do this week!
Thank You

Because I always refer to OUR team, and fans as we. It comes from my time playing HS athletics. Like I said I phrased mt posts to seem like I left at the half. Sorry, my mistake

I agree. I was thinking the same thing when I got home. It's different when your expectations are higher. We were at home. We had a two game lead in the East. Playing a team we destroyed a year ago and they are now starting a freshman QB.

We were a 25 point favorite. 25 point favorites might not beat the spread, but the probably win. Maybe lose a close one. But we lost by 31. AT HOME!
 With the spread, final score is 70-14. How is that not the worst loss ever?

Maybe even more disappointing is the lack of leadership on this team. When Omar went down, they should have stood up and took it upon themselves to lead this team to win. What happened couldn'thave been farther from that if they tried. They rolled over, plain and simple.

When we scored to make it 31-14, there was still a chance if the defense can hold. What happened? WMU drives down the field for a TD, and NEVER EVEN HAD TO CONVERT A THIRD DOWN because our defense was playing so emotionless. Unbelievable.

This is what I heard...

Omar has a broken collar-bone and is out for the season. Hopefully coach didn't lie when he said it was just separated.

when i saw omar's arm hanging from his side as he was walking off, the first thing i said to the people around me was that it looked like a seperation. they'll usually support a break and hold the arm in place as the player walks off. they just let it hang to the side which said seperation to my medically untrained eye.

That's what I heard too. But the question is, who said it originally? Was it someone who really knows?

Or was it a random fan who saw the sling and said, "Man, I bet he's got a broken collarbone," to which his buddy replied, "Whoa, if he does, he's out for the rest of the season," and the guy two rows behind asked his neighbor across the aisle, "Did you hear that? They said Omar's out for the season with a broken collarbone!"

I heard it down on the field after halftime before he was even seen out there with the sling. I won't say from who I heard it from but I was just stating what I heard.

Don't anyone come back and say don't post something like this without facts because everyone else does it, too. Right now, no one really has any fact to it until he has a medical review.

I just sifted through 4 pages of arguing to read five or six posts of nformation on one of the leaders of our team. I'm definitely not trying to call anyone out. I know we're all frusterated b/c of the game today, but remember we're all fans for the same team.

However, Grant scolded us for this awhile back. This site is very important and sentimental to him, and many other BG fans. For all the time, effort, money and heart he puts into this site, don't we owe it to him not to be all over each other's back?

Shut up man! I bet you're not even a real fan!

No offense to providers of information as it is always welcome, but I'll react when I hear an official statement from the university regarding Omar's condition and/or availability

Yeah... you busted me there. Clearly since I saw only half the game I'm a step below everyone else.

Seriously though I'm just frusterated from the game today...

I don't think you'll find anyone around here who isn't. I was on call today so I couldn't get to the Doyt. For the first time ever, I can look back and honestly say I'm glad I missed the game.

I did force myself to listen to the whole damn thing though. I have to go buy a new cat tomorrow....

I don't think they would have taken him directly to the hospital if they thought he just had a seperated shoulder. I suspect they had an idea that it was something far worse almost immediately.
