Saturday-video games

Post by FMBfan07 »

Just was wondering what we people thought of have heard about saturday's show?
A bunch of people told me they thought it was the best show this year and that it was best thing they saw at the Doyt on saturday. They were saying that there was people around them cheering for the band to come back in the second half because that was more fun then the game.. that's awesome. that's all i have heard.

It was your best show so far! Smartly put together and well marched.

It seemed as if the band was playing more throughout the game! I loved it. And the crowd got into it to. Though I have never done the chicken dance it was quite something to see.

Yea, I noticed the crowd got into this show more than the Incredibles. My gf loved it (she used to be in band), and she noticed the same thing.

I really enjoyed the show even though I didn't know the music??? I wasn't allowed to play video games when i was little (explains a lot about me, eh?)
I went over to the West side to watch. You guys marched really well and sounded GREAT!

You guys did a great job! We went to the Fieldhouse show for the first time as well. My wife and I really enjoyed it and my 2-year-old son was bopping around. He was sitting just watching and when you guys kicked into the fight song, he jumped up and was clapping along. It was a great Falcon memory for my wife and I (even though the game sucked!).

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the field house show!!

It's also exciting to know that our audience for the field house show is growing, and that we're attracting more than just band parents. :)

I may be one of the few who felt this way, but I thought the show was just OK. The legend of zelda came off alright, but it lacked the intensity in the drill. mario could have been great, but there was phazing all over the field throughout the piece (definantly could tell it needed more work). This happened both on the field and in the field house. I did enjoy every bit of final fantasy and castlevania. Very well written music and fun to watch. Overall, enjoyable music and fun/original show concept. I may seem kind of harsh, since this is the ONLY luke warm review so far, so I am sorry for that.

Well, considering we only had a week and a half to learn the entire show, I think it went a lot better than we expected. We were still doing some fairly significant cleaning at the morning practice on game day; we thought for sure that Jason would have our heads after he saw what we did to the show he gave to us. :axe:

I'm sure that there were still several rough spots throughout the show, but they were the kinds of things that the general crowd wouldn't really notice. As a former band member, you will see a lot more.

And judging the show from a band member's perspective, your review is fairly accurate. But judging from a regular crowd member's perspective, the show was a great success.

It's looking like the video games show will probably be the show that we resurrect for the Toledo game, and if that is the case, then we will have the time to fix the problems that you noticed.

Yeah, i knew before posting that you only had a few days to put it all together...which when you think about it, it is an amazing accomplishment. Can't say there has been a show that has brought back so many good childhood memories as this one did. Very fun and entertaining... Plus zelda is still my favorite game of all time. good stuff...

AAAHHHH, the joy of one week wonders. I hated them when I marched, and I loved them all at once. Can we have a preview of the show for the Akron game... :P

This is the hip-hop/pop show. There's not going to be a lot of drill-- maybe eleven or twelve sets overall.

I know-- I was a little leery of the idea of playing a hip-hop show. But after hearing the music, I think it's actually going to be a lot of fun. (And we only have to learn 16 counts of band-dance. )
