AT Is Gonna Do It. .

Post by Dayons_Den »

. . .This Weekend to the Zips!

I am not a real rah-rah guy but I firmly believe with the snaps in practice and the preparedness a full week of prep will give him AT is gonna come out firing on all cylinders this weekend.

THE FUTURE IS NOW! FALCON FANS!!!

DD, I love you in only way one man can love another man and not be gay. :D

Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Turner

Post by destroyer »

If Turner "turns" it on as he did in high school every game, BG fans have no clue how talented this kid is. I saw him demoralize defenses in high school. Reminiscent of Vick, only with a cannon of an arm. Not to take anything away from Omar, but I have often felt sorry for Turner, because he has so much talent, and hasn't had a shot to show it off yet. Game on Turner!

Lets hope he gets it done. I know nothing about this kid, except that he is supposed to be our next standout QB, I have heard that he is like a Josh Harris.....Only quicker and faster. After watching his play this past saturday I was reminded of JH in his first few games. AT's profile on the BG athletics page is pretty general, just giving stats. If snyone has some additional info on him I would love it. Just send me a PM, or post it here (whatever you feel like doing) it would be greatly appreciated. I always love learning about our young players.

It's not like he is a senior or something. He still has 3+ years of eligibility. :)

Actually, we do have a clue.

I think Turner will come out on fire Saturday.

I think Anthony Turner can succeed. What we need to do is put the Josh Harris offense back into the game plan. More of the option running (not the down the line option, but that counter option they run), and other QB runs. I don't sense he is ready for the snap and fire that Omar runs. But we should be able to get him to succeed. The rest of the team has to show up with some determination.

Agree that AT will be a good one. I think he can play well enough to win against Akron. I think the key is our defense - we can't get behind. Coming from behind would be too much to ask of the kid. The rest of the team has to pick up their game to support the RS Frosh QB.

Just look back to the 1st half of the spring game. AT can turn it on.

In high school, AT played Corey their Junior year in the 1st round of the state playoffs. He was very good in that game and only got better the following year and even better still from watching and learning behind Omar. He is very similar to Josh (only faster) and will show his stuff Saturday. I am fired up for this one. He will carry us into Miami and the MACC.

My best to Omar for a speedy recovery. I have experienced these past weeks how painful a separated shoulder or two can be. I hope they give him plenty of rest. But we are in good hands and AT will turn this offense back over to Omar in great shape and standing.

I know it was mentioned here a few weeks ago, but AT really showed some speed when he went in late in the Boise State game. For those of us who didn't see him last weekend, did he look as fast? If so, Crakron is in for a loooooong afternoon....

Omar is the best....let me just say that. I want #4 to heal as quickly as possible.

But I can't help be jazzed to see AT starting! From everything I've seen and heard, he will be an excellent field general!

I watched Anthony play every game in high school. I knew he was talented from the time he started at DB as a freshman. I have seen him grow along the way and I still feel some growth is needed but in the long run he will be another excellent QB here at BG. I think his athletic ability will be what really makes him dangerous. My favorite part about Anthony was the type of guy he is. He is a class act and very gracious in victory and defeat. His attitude will take him far.

I'm expecting some big things out of Turner. He has the potential to be a big threat to defenses.

Remember, at one point Coach was hinting that AT was capable of pushing O4 for the starting job

I think AT will do well. However, I believe the game is in the defense's hands. We have got to get off the field.

Amen to that O & B! Our defense simply must come up with stops. Period.
Akron's QB, Luke Getsy, has been shaky the last couple weeks and we need to get pressure on him in a big way.
Brett Biggs is a pretty good RB so we NEED to step up and stop him as well.

GO FALCONS!!!
