How is "Metz for such a dedicated fan you know nothing" not attacking Metz. I also see nothing at all that is attacking Matela in Metz's post. One person's opinion between to players is what most of us far from BG look forward to reading. I found nothing wrong with your post content, except I think you went a bit far in your final sentence. As far a comparing the two, one could only assume that it was meant to be compliment to Lefeld, and hope that he would become as good a player as Matela was.

Etymology: Latin ridiculosus (from ridiculum jest, from neuter of ridiculus) or ridiculus, literally, laughable, from ridEre to laugh

It is a word damn-it. Go bugger off.

Hey, all I'm saying is if dictionary.com has an issue with it, so do I.

Now, if urbandictionary.com is fine with it, I don't want to know... *shudder*

I think Soler is a good player, but no Scottie Pippen (I understand the humor). You are right, everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. However, when someones opinion is off that much bringing up stats and facts never hurts. This forum has become a joke with people's opinions mainly because their opinions are completely against stats and facts.

Screw Scottie Pippen...he sucks.

If Dan would just let Soler handle the rock more he'd be the next LeBron James. He can drive, shoot, defend the lanes, and some SWEET no-look passing.

I don't understand how we have a kid with his talent on this team, and we don't let him touch the ball constantly!

*Tongue firmly planted in cheek*

Although, now that I think about it, if it takes the ball outta John Floyd's hands I wouldn't hate this idea quite so much.

Why is everyone so hard on Floyd

Post by commonsense »

Many people rip John Floyd on this forum. I do not claim he is a great athlete but he is solid. As a SOPHMORE and in his first year of action at bg he was 2nd in the Mac in assists (1st in Mac games only). As a pg I would think this is what you would want. He is completely unselfish (except at the end of the game when it is time to shoot free throws, but he does make them.) I saw enough selfishness in 03-04 from our guards that it made me sick, yes we finished 13-16 that year. This year we were 18-11 with Floyd being the only significant addition. Vandermeer played when we lost Fitch, but the team was never the same (No fault of Vandermeer, but Fitch allowed us to play a small line up that people couldn't match up with.) Floyd is not a quick defender that is obvious, but based on last year (big assist numbers, record turnaround, and big shots against buffalo and toledo) I would say he had a solid sophmore campaign, it will be interesting to see what he does this year.
