ROSTER UPDATE: Julie Gompers is unable to continue as a member of BG's team because of a medical condition, Miller said. Gompers played in 16 games two seasons ago, but missed all of last season.
Miller said Gompers, a high school standout in West Virginia, would remain on scholarship and be a student assistant coach for the team. Gompers has a 3.81 grade-point average at BG, majoring in pre-medicine.
I wondered if she was ever going to get any playing time with all the stellar talent we have guard anyway. I heard from another news article that Jasmine Macall has been tearing it up in practice. We are so loaded at guard its not funny.

I hope the "medical condition" is not too serious. Julie was a great bench asset for the team, and I'm happy to see that she will be getting to keep her scholarship and remain involved with the team. I hope she is OK!

i'm assuming this is the same nagging inury. it involved tendons or ligaments or something in her wrist. when she moved her wrist, it felt like, i dunno, gravel or something, on her skin.falconboy wrote:What are you talking about?Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Her arm was just.....creepy feeling. Yeah -- her wrist and forearm were hard as a rock. Not in a muscular way, but in a....plastic type of way. It was a very bizarre injury/condition.jacojdm wrote:i'm assuming this is the same nagging inury. it involved tendons or ligaments or something in her wrist. when she moved her wrist, it felt like, i dunno, gravel or something, on her skin.falconboy wrote:What are you talking about?Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Her arm was just.....creepy feeling. Roll Along!
I will miss seeing her on the court but she will make a great student coach. She is a very intelligent young lady, I think she is a pre-med major, so I'm sure she will be very successful in whatever she decides to do after college.
ROLL ALONG!!!!!
