Does anyone Remember the feeling...

Post by ZuluWarrior »

we had when Bowling Green was up 13-0 on Wisconsin and BCS sugarplums danced in our heads???
I know we were overly excited about this season, but seriously "Calgon, take me away!"

As Flipper said elsewhere, we have gone from that feeling to losing to Akron before 9,600 people in a defintely Blackney era feel to it.

Better yet? Where did that offense go?????? But you are right. I was screaming my lungs out and thinking - ok- we are picking up where we left off!

Now we are just picking up the pieces.

If anyone on this board thinks we won't hang 30+ points on any team when Omar comes back then you are sadly mistaken. The defense will always be what it is... which is not very good.

That Wisconsin game seems like YEARS ago watching our offense struggle like this now. First it was defense which struggled right out of the gates, then our special teams. But I never thought our offense would ever be a problem. Now, it just might be our biggest problem, and that in itself is why the Wisconsin game seems so long ago.

The offense, with a healthy Omar, failed to put 30 on the board against Boise and Buffalo both.

This team's problems are much deeper than an injured QB and they were surfacing well before said QB went down. Sure losing your star hurts, but that alone is NOT why we are losing. We are losing because, as Coach Brandon said, we are not a good fundamental football team. Personally I think he went too easy and he should say we're a piss poor fundamental football team, but that's not his style.

Where I differ with coach is that I say fundamentals are supposed to be taught by the coaching staff. It is readily apparent that he feels they should've been granted by the fundamental fairy while the players were asleep.

Be careful, don't upset everyone with the truth. This team is one of the worst fundamental and coached football teams that I have ever seen.
We should be happy and love BG no matter what, but someone must be held accountable.

If we performed like this at work, we would be held accountable.
