Nate Fry wasn't a walk on. I'm sure he was recruited.

I don't know for certain, could he have walked on when Fleming was still here then earned a scholarship?

I also just want to post to see my new banner thing down below. . .

I'm almost certain Fry was recruited as a scholarship player. I remeber his dad, or someone claiming to be his dad, talking about him on a BG board that predated this one (it's now defunct).

sweet banner! though you spelled "Szlachcic" wrong. Hell, I'm not even sure that's right... I know there's an extra-looking "c", and an "h"....

Thanks TG yeah I typed and retyped Sledge's name but just couldn't figure it out and all of my programs and stuff are in storage. I will be adding new "legends" from time to time. I also think they could make a cool t-shirt line. . .

The athletic department needs to do more to recognize the long standing rich history in Falcon athletics. Maybe I feel that way because I was brought up with lines like "if they had a three point line when Butch Komives played he would have averaged 50 points a game!". . .

I agree. I always thought the display they have/had outside the Ice Arena entrance with all the former players' NHL cards was one of the coolest things ever! I'm sure they could find a sponsor now and then to have a "poster night" or "collectable card night" featuring the greats of our University. Your design would be sweet for something like that, too.

Nate was medical redshirted his first year, which would make me think he was a recruited scholarship player too. I would think you normally wouldn't redshirt a walk-on, but then again maybe they would for some reason.
