Amen, brother. I think that needs to be stickied in just about every thread started here in the last 48 hours.

Funny thing is, as I made my way out of the Doyt after the game Saturday, and saw the Freakmobile II as one of the few cars left in the lot, I figured that even with a nasty loss, there was still probably footballs being tossed and players being chatted with. In fact, I was about ready to head back up that way, but I had a table full of "sorrow drowners" waiting for me at Fricker's.

Funny how kids can help put things in perspective, isn't it? My five-year-old niece watched the game, and when she realized BG had lost and I was pretty depressed about it, she told me, "It's okay. Maybe they'll win next time. And today was a fun day, huh?"

Made me realize she was absolutely right.

Kids are better than drugs or alcohol...

I was carrying my 4 year-old daughter out of the stadium. She kept saying "goodbye football...I'll see you later, have a nice day".
I haven't laughed so hard since someone used the words "Academics" and "the Univesity of Toledo" in the same sentence without using the adjective "poor".

I used beer & strippers to get over the game...I guess we each have our own outlets :) LOL

Good article Freak. As upset as I am about the way things have gone recently for us, it really doesn't matter that much.

I wound up at Junction... so I guess I used beer and future strippers to get over the game.

I'll take a current stripper over a future stripper anyday.

True, it would have been a little easier on the hangover for all the previous night's clothes to smell like cocoa butter instead of cigarette smoke, but that damn glitter rarely comes out in the wash!

Did any of the girls at Junction give you a shirt? I think not! ;) LOL

Crap. Looks like I went the wrong way after that game... Though there were plenty of girls at Junction that really *should* have given me their shirt... errr..a shirt.

Great job Freak...We may not be getting the results we want, but how do we think these young men and coaches feel. They live for BG football and they make sacrafices daily. These guys are 18 - 22 year old student athletes and they deserve our support.

Nicely put freak. I take my football way too seriously sometimes (well, actually alot of the time). What's great about sports though is there is always another game, another chance. Hopefully this team can overcmoe all the adversity, come together and somehow win the MAC.
