"Bear Bryant said years ago, 'It's important for our program and our university to be on television. We'll play at midnight, if they ask.' That's Bear Bryant talking," Hoeppner said. "It's hard to quantify the positive results of playing on TV. There are tangible returns in terms of recruiting."

Well if Bear Bryant said this, then it is gospel. Great read.

like you guys, we can't afford a loss tonight, but it's going to be a tough game under tough circumstances. i can only imagine what the hunnington fans will be like.

yeah, i can't imagine the absolute horror of niu vs. marshall in the macc. niu is a bad enough thought. we've got to represent tonight. i don't think we've played a great game yet. we'll see. marshall will be hungry.
