On offense -- if we want to run the ball effectively, run the 2-back set with P.J. and B.J. That opened up all the trap and misdirection plays (shovel option, sprint draw) that we can use to run the ball effectively. anything is better than the option read inside handoff we run 20 times a game for a yard each time out of the 1-back set.
On defense -- blitz all day long. The playmakers on our defense reside in the secondary and it's time we leaned on them a bit. Our front 4 cannot get pressure by themselves. Betts and Gradkowski will roll our D if we can't get pressure. We need to bring people 60-70% of the time if we want to be successful on D.
Special teams -- less of the spread punt formation and more of the effort and execution we saw today. Special teams had a very good game today outside of the missed 30-yarder. We need them to be solid the next 2 games or they will cost us the championship.
What we need more of.

I agree on the special teams and offense, but on defense we blitzed once and they burnt us for a TD on a screen pass. Blitzing, I agree was big today, but Betts is going to have many more ways to tear us apart if we get out of position and leave guys open.

I agree with J4H. When you blitz you are going to get burned from time to time. However, when we sit back in a zone or man with over the top help, only rushng 4 we get picked apart. You cannot allow a QB to sit in the pocket without pressure, and our front 4 alone does NOT get pressure.
It sucks when you have to rely on blitzing to get pressure, because you will get burnt from time to time, but if it's the only way you can get pressure you have to do it. It's a lot nicer when the blitz can be used to change things up or bring extra pressure, but when your front 4 is struggling on their own, you just have to help 'em out.
We must blitz to have a chance on defense.
