It's rare that I go into some long explanation of how I see things for this team, program, etc.
But after watching this team this year, I feel I must try to supress some of the negativity we've all felt at some point this season.
Falcon Fans, this team is exactly where it needs to be to achieve the goal it set forth before game one. That goal: Win the MAC. Of course, it's been an interesting and some would say disappointing trip to the tree limb the mighty Falcons find themselves on today. But, what's done is done.. and what's not is the fact that this team can still win a MAC title and go to a bowl game. Despite the tough times, despite the injuries, the Falcons can achieve their goal. I know most of us would've liked nothing more than to have run the table and been the Utah of this season - especially given the pre-season hype most of us bought into. But say what you want about our defense, say what you want about our special teams, say what you want about our offense, say what you want about our coaching staff. They made adjustments last week to win a key road game, and tonight - they find themselves at the wheel of a vehicle called destiny. Two games - two wins - that's what not finished.. but the goal is the same.
Most of us, if not all of us on here, would consider ourselves die-hard Falcon fans, but that does not give us the right to turn on our team as soon as things go south - like so many of us did at times during the season. It is not the time now to say why we won't achieve our goal, it's time to talk about why the team will achieve that goal.
I think the Redskins-hawks at practice may hear a faint whistle in the distance.. the sound of the Pope train.. engineered by a down-but-not-out quarterback that's got something to prove.. not only to his critics, but to his supporters.
Go Falcons!

Re: What's done and What's not
That was beautiful....and absolutely correct. IF BG wins out, the MAC and a bowl game, we finish 9-4. Nobody will care who we lost to...I know I won't.windycityfalcon wrote:It's rare that I go into some long explanation of how I see things for this team, program, etc.
