Potentially more important news from that article is the Deaudre Perry has left the team.

For sure Toledo? If we lose at Miami without Omar, I don't care too much about Toledo. Toledo is our rival, but this Miami game is more important to accomplishing team goal #1. If he's out at Miami and we lose, I hope we hold him out against UT. No sense risking long-term damage in a game that would be for nothing other than bragging rights.

Well, if we knew Omar was going to play we wouldn't be trumpetting it, and for the last two weeks we have pretended that Omar might play and then admitted after the game he couldn't have gone.

And if we knew he wasn't going to play, we wouldn't be saying that, either.

We probably have to take all of it with a grain of salt. I'm sure if he's healthy enough to play, he'll play. If he's not, then he shouldn't be anywhere near the field.

Ok, so nothing really wrong with your post, but you kind of leave us hanging there after your first statement. Its like so important that you don't want to comment on it.

Good thing I'm not doing much at work, so I could go read the article. It will be interesting to see how things play out considering DP is still being given an option to comeback if he wants after his personal issues are resolved. He wasn't having any grade troubles or runs in with the law was he. Hope he is able to resolve his issues quickly and positively.

Sorry that I didn't elaborate. I don't know anyone "in the know" and apparently nothing beyond "personal issues" will be cited for why he has left the team. That kid was going to be a really good player for us no doubt. I hope whatever is going on in his life he can get it turned around, much like I hope Matt Leininger has turned himself around.

*This posted is based purely on metaphysical and supernatural evidence.* My personal psychic recently informed me on the matter of whether Omar would play against Miami or not. I have included her Tarot card reading, so you all can be equally convinced that Omar will in fact play.

She started saying, "with regard to Mister Jacobs playing against Miami, my reading gives BG high encouragement in the form two images that have appeared in close juxtaposition in today's reading: the image of Four Cups and the image of The King of Pentacles. In fact, BG could not hope for a more positive reflection of the potential that exists in this particular venture. Clearly BG is imagining immense rewards from it, but I do NOT feel that we have to warn you about excessive expectations. The image of Four Cups tells us that the idea of Jacobs playing first needs to be carefully nurtured, and I sense it will take some time to put all the elements in place before it can be realized. The King of Pentacles, at any rate, is definitely a bright green light, telling you to move forward with great self-confidence concerning Omar. From a traditional point of view this image is always associated with the idea of success and rewards. Of course, BG will also want to give great weight to the medical advice you get from trusted doctors. But BG otherwise is getting a resounding YES from this mode of insight. I feel that the success described by this King of Pentacles will more than make up, in due time, for the disappointment BG fans are feeling now. Put depression aside, Falcon Fans. Things are going to work out very well for you, indeed.

Also UK, in the Powerball drawing you would be very wise to play 1-12-17-32-33 and..."

As I said, though, Flip, Omar actually stated, "I'll demonstrate with my right arm."

I don't know if he'll play or not, but the impression I got from the interview was that even if he does give it a go, he won't be even close to 100%.
Don't confuse me with facts when I'm taking pot shots at Norm.... :D

I still don't think it's that big of a deal. He's not going to show anyone how well or injured he really is. Forcing Miami to prepare for a run oriented offense (Turner) and a pass oriented offense (Omar) is a plus for us. If he's up there waving (or not waving) his arm around, that edge disappears.

We'll all know for sure if Omar starts (or plays) on 11/15 when the offense runs on the field for the first drive. I wouldn't say a freakin word about it...either way. Saying "hopefully he'll play @Miami" is the perfect line.

As far as Perry? That sux big time. He was having a solid year, #2 on the team in tackles! But I liked what I've seen outta Loren Hargrove. He's been in the program a couple years and got the start at Kent last week.
I have confidence in Hargrove.

I sure hope Perry gets everything straightened out...would be great to see him in the secondary again.

I agree freak. Though I don't think I would mind seeing AT start the first drive regardless of Omar's condition. If AT can go out and score points on the first drive, or at least look good not getting any points, I would play him some to start off the game. It would reduce the chances or Omar getting hurt again and keeps Miami's defense on their toes about what they might see the next drive. I would rather see this then starting Omar, him getting hit and hurt again early in the game, and having the "weight of the world" put on AT to win the game.

I agree with that. If we can get it done with AT, I'm all for that!

According to the Sentinel, Omar is not cleared to play at this time, and Turner has bad ribs and is actually more banged up than Omar. He played the second half in a lot of pain.

Which means one of two things: Omar plays or Van Johnson plays. Don't even wanna think about the latter.
