INCORRECT! Sorry to say, Pooch never actually got to the NHL

Ehhh... the statement was "...Jordan was the 31st former BG player to make it to the NHL." Who let the stupid kid in?

I saw that too (on the official athletic site) and spent part of my drive up last night trying to name them all from memory. I think I got to about 19, though I think they're all listed on your list.

Good news, bad news...Jordan was returned to Providence (sadly he never got in to a game at Boston)...he stopped 26 of 27 shots and was named #2 star in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Portland.

Now there may be one or two errors but this about sums up all the NHL players BGSU has produced since 1970
One of my favorite moments was the 1977 game vs the Toledo Golddiger, when the game was called in the second period for excesive fighting...BGSU was wining on the score board and the score card!!!!

Yes, I also remember the infamous Goaldiggers fight/game. I aso remember MOST of the players on your list, but my research says that 8 of the names on your list never nade it to the NHL: Mike Jones, Quinn Fair, Glen Mears, Dan Price, Jason Clark, Matt Ruchty, Ben White, Stuart Nwosad.
Your list missed several that were on my list, so the challenge is still alive.

Who can come up with the elusive missing player?

The player in question is John Stewart, who played for the Falcons in 1972-73 and 1973-74.

He appeared in two games with the Quebec Nordiques in 1979-80 tallying no goals, no assists and no penalty minutes.

When? I don't recall him playing with the Blues. Pretty sure Mike started in the IHL and now plays in the ECHL, which is also what this link shows.

Your right UK he did not play for the Blues. The short cut I took on that one for verification lead to a front office guy named Mike jones, I should have done a better job at verification on him.
So I wonder who the missing one is...you would think the fricking UNIV would have an on listing of all the various sports and folks who made it to the big show.

You know, there used to be an alumni update my first year there, but it sort of fell by the wayside (this would be 2000-01).

The missing one from Fredie's list was John Stewart as Blazer posted previously. If you'd like to see all of the professional hockey players BG has had in other leagues as well, just go to BGSU Hockey Alumni, which is likely what others have been using.

Strange, I thought I counted 31 there, plus Sigalet (who's not yet listed) as 32...

I haven't heard any reports in a while, but from the accounts early in the season, it sounds as if #'s 33 and 34 won't be too far off... 8)

Right now KB is hurt (high ankle sprain), but I would expect he'd be called up by the end of the season.
