Charles Sharon
I keep hearing this rumour around BG that Charles Sharon may be ineligible and will be leaving. Is there any truth to this? I sure hope not.
My favorite teams are BG and whoever is playing the Toledo Rockettes!

I thought it looked suspicious too. Kinda like the guy who came on here and posted that Coach Stud was leaving back around the beginning of the year.falconman wrote:I have a hard time beleiving this because he was eligible for the spring game, so unless he screwed around big time i wouldn't put much stock into this, and not to knock Falcon Eddie, but that was his first post so for all i know, it is some rocket fan trying to ruffle our feathers.

Sadly, I have some news to report here. What follows is based on conversations with two different people this weekend. These are sources I trust, but I don't think they have first hand knowledge.
The issue isn't academic. It is, potentially, criminal.
Police are investigating a recent robbery of a pizza delivery man of about $200. I'm told Sharon is apparently a potential suspect along with another person, who also may be member of the football team (I wasn't given a name).
Police are also considering the possibility that the pizza delivery man was cooperating with the two "robbers." In other words, the robbery may have been faked.
From what I understand, are are not talking about a potential felony because of the small amount of money involved. Any charges, should they come, would be misdemeanors.
I should emphasize that *no* charges have been filed. From what I was told, there may not be a time table for doing so. Apparently, police do not have as much information as they would like to have right now.

Odd story...$200 seems like a lot of dough (snicker) for a pizza guy to be carrying at any one time. If it was a faked robbery, $200 doesn't seem like much in a three way split. (when you consider the consequences). Why would the pizza guy need help to fake a robbery anyway, he could do it himself an keep all the money?
Anyway, I hope this isn't true....
