Partridge on Defense?

Post by jmillerbg »

Did anyone else hear the BG crew just say that Cory is playing some defense tonight too?

I heard this during our first defensive set but chalked it up to the guy on the radio being a moron. Did you hear it later in the game?

If this is true, I can't say that I am disappointed at all. It is about time some of our athletes like Corey started playing some D - even if that means they go both ways. In my opinion, the more Corey is on the field the better - he is amazing.

I heard it sometime during the middle of the second quarter. I guess until I see the stat sheet I will assume the radio guy is a moron.

Hey, in my head, everyone else is the moron. That is the advantage of insanity - and being a douche. :P

seriously, though, i think that we need to keep the wbgu kids away from the mini bar during weather delays. this kid is all over the place, his diction is, at best, garbled, as he's, at times, slurring his speech.

I figured it was Wiley. I think that removes his redshirt, I don't recall him playing, though I could be wrong.

It was Lewis and the kid made some nice plays tonight.

I only got to see the last few minutes after the broadcast finally came up. He did look really good. That was a great reaction to snag that int in the endzone.

My only question would be, is this his first gametime action this year? I have no doubt that he deserved to play in this game, but why burn his redshirt now if this was indeed his first game of the season? The last two games are huge of course, but does the secondary need him that badly?

Hmm, a redshirt burned for a little playing time in a Miami game near the end of the season. That's starting to sound familiar
Of course if he already played earlier in the year, then I have no point

Don't worry, he played in a few games before last night.

Lewis is a true freshman who didn't sign his LOI until August. That didn't stop him from leapfrogging a number of guys to land a spot on the two deep at CB.

He and Smith are going to be good ones....
