Seconded. If we need to take up a collection to make up for his loss in pay, so be it. I'm broke as hell, but I'm in. I'm counting on hearing the Freaklings' screech before the game.

Good point, 33!BGSU33 wrote:I also think we need to make sure '87alum and Noah are there too! Noah has the streak working for him, and I would sure like to have that in our favor against Toledo.
I'm serious when I say this, though many may think I'm joking - Freak and '87 are two of the most supportive alumni that BGSU has. We need to do whatever it takes to get them here. It is more important than giving money to the Sebo Center right now. Period.

Won't HE be excited when he wakes up!!!!!!!!! Cool!
The game came on just as we returned from our first basketball practice and I thought Noah was going to leap out of the house when we notched the second safety.
Then ESPN put the screws to us by switching to the all-important UCLA-New Mexico State basketball game. Yes, that's right, just like the second half of last year's Toledo game, we got switched to college hoops.
So we fired up the computer and clicked over to the gametracker, Noah sitting on my lap and munching pumpkin seeds. After Devon Parks made that big third down sack, Noah said "wouldn't it be cool if we got a third safety." I assured him that such a thing couldn't possibly happen ... when it did.
Then after Timchenko drilled his FG, I went upstairs to get everything set up for bedtime; he insisted on watching the screen until halftime, even after I assured him that nothing could possibly happen ... when it did.
After I tucked him in and said our prayers, he made me promise that once the game was over, I would come up and whisper the final score in his ear.
But this morning was a happy time, for sure. Noah's final comment on the game - "This should go down in MAC history."

Funny you mention that- Noah was the first person I thought of when I heard of the delay.always a falcon wrote:Can you just imagine poor Noah when the game was delayed and then taken off the air and he had to go to bed with school tomorrow?

I've never met the little guy, but I know he's pound-for-pound the biggest BG fan, and to not be able to see it would've been a heartbreaker.
Glad he got to go to bed happy!

Dudes,
All four Freaks will be at the UT game. I am planning on bringing everyone to the MACC. I lost 8 hours of vacation time (I still get paid) but my bowl hopes are in some danger...unless BG is in the MCB. IF I have to go to work a full day on 12/2, so be it. I'll be surfing anyway! LOL!
NO WAY do we miss this game next week. I'm taking the Freaklings outta school early so we can be at the Doyt by 2-3.
It will be their first ever BG/UT game. Falcon screech and all...
Thanks for the kind words. How proud it is to be a Falcon today!
GO FALCONS!!! DESTROY THE ROCKETS!

Sorry to start the implied rumor the 'Freaks would not be at the Doyt.
That's what happens when I post late at night, following a big victory, in a game that was delayed which means I had to drink more beer to pass the time.
One of those factors listed above probably played more of a role in my posts last night than the other. . . . .
