We have now beaten a MAC team with a winning record on the road. Our only other road victory against a team with a winning record was over Purdue.

I am feeling really good right now.

Now we just need to continue our dominance over Toledo at the Doyt and make plans for Ford Field!

Congrats to the Falcons on a dominating victory tonight!

BEAT TOLEDO!

Before last night's game ...

"Brandon can't win the big MAC game on the road"
"BG hasn't beat Miami in, well, forever"
"Omar can't win the big game"

After last night's game ...

Can we really put all those to bed when IMO we didnt really dominate but moreso took advantage of a horrible punting game. Who knows what the game would have been like if they could punt.

Minus the safeties the score would've been 36-14. And that's with a Miami garbage-time touchdown. Our defense dominated the game.

Yes. You are welcome to your opinion, certainly, but it is my opinion that we did, in fact, dominate the game. We created four huge turnovers, stopped them on third down at an incredible rate and were unbelievably efficient in the end zone. That, to me, is domination.

They could have had Ray Guy in his prime and BG still would have creamed them.

3 safeties equals 6 points. Final score: 42-14.

Falcon football is back in a big way.

Don't know if you watched the same game I did but had they gotten off those punts, we probably would have had at least one more touchdown. And if they had stopped our offense, they in turn would be punting more. The defense should get some big credit for forcing those punting situations early in the game. By stopping Miami and making them punt from their endzone/end side their 10 those bad snaps became BG points.

Those safeties were a result of a 3& out forcing D, but if miami's punting game were on.. it could have been at least a ball game. I still think overall bg outperformed MU by a lot, but 2 points plus the ball near midfield after a good return is a solid way to get victories.

Well the 3 safeties led to 6 points.

Is that really all you think the safeties meant?

Field position, shattered morale, their long snapper changed the entire face of the game by being horrible. We looked good, but when we don't need unforced errors to route a team like that I will say we dominated.

Like I said, you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

You say we didn't dominate.
I say we did dominate.

Either way, the scoreboard shows we won and the standings say we have a great shot at the MAC East title!

I'm with you, 87. We won that game. More than the safeties, we caught a huge break with the game delay and the crowd being down. Let's not kid ourselves, that helped.

Hey, and if we made fewer mistakes than they did, isn't that part of winning football.

I think we played well. Don't get me wrong. But not making mistakes is not dominating. IMO. It can lead to dominating however.....

Why are we still talking about this. Sorry.

I think we're arguing different points. Obviously the weather, crowd, and safeties helped us to win the game.

My position is this, just because those things helped us to dominate, doesn't mean we didn't dominate. When you hand a good team their worst home loss in 20 years, you dominated the game. I don't care if their best ten players all got a nasty case of herpes and missed the game, it doesn't change the complete domination of one team by the other.
