LOL. They put the MUMB on National TV, AND Craig-the-dreg went ON and ON about the MUMB, and how wonderful they are, and how amazing they sound. I believe he said they were the 'best band I've heard in a long time.' But, he said Miami's cheerleaders got creamed by BG's cheerleaders in volleyball. But that only figures...B!G difference between MU and BG cheerleaders.

I think I heard a trumpet at the end of the game...

You can be warm and dry any old time.

The MUMB was pretty good. But why didn't they march pregame?

And also, why were they so daggone quiet? I don't think I heard a peep out of 'em during the 4th quarter except when Miami scored their (second and final) touchdown. Doc H would have had us playing Ay-Zig and Go BG between every single play.... ad nauseum, even. But attempting to bring some enthusiasm and momentum, no matter what.

Because our band WATCHES the game. They were in shock. And the team hates it when the band plays like that, feels like they are rubbing it in. Why no pregame? Because of the delay. That happened at the ISU game last year. (Indiana State)

Oh, believe me, I was watching when we played WMU and Akron.... trying not to cry and repeating to myself, "I will not cuss in uniform, I will not cuss in uniform, I will not cuss in uniform..."

Oh. Well, that kinda sucks. I don't see why it's worse than the cheerleaders still cheering when the game goes badly, or stuff like that, but whatever.

The Redhawks hate it because they're a bunch of pansies, that's why. A bunch of JCrew wearing, trust fund having, BMW driving pansies. I can say that b/c I went to high school with most of them. And because we beat the CRAP out of them. Did I mention they're pansies?

:D

Sorry if I get a little out of a hand, I harbor a (not-so)secret loathing for Miami that goes almost as deep as my loathing for that crappy school up North.

The team looked like it was getting pissed at the students who stayed, and who were trying to cheer. The were chanting "Let's Go RedHawks!" And the team looked at them funny. That was a wierd game. I don't care, they shoulda played it at 7. or postponed it. (BTW, Miami plays on a monday, so if it was cool with Miami, I don't see why BG woulda complained.) But that's just me.

Playing the game at 7 would have been incredibly irresponsible of those in charge. Safety should always come first and they were right to postpone the game until it was safe.

Did someone say safety??

Yes, Shake... three of them. They woulda been better if BG had forced any of them. Miami imploded. That's putting it lightly.

And I for one would have been piiiiiiiiissed if the game had been postponed to a later day. As for "I don't see why BG woulda complained"-- it would have killed our visiting crowd. We all drove 3 hours to reach Oxford, and we weren't about to leave until we got a football game!!
