I'm working on a "My life in Anderson Arena" type article that I'll be posting soon. I've seen so many amazing games, so many amazing players... wow. It was great just being there today.

And I've only been going to games since I was 8... imagine all the things I missed!?!?

very good article. Although my only trip there left me feeling a little let down. Last season when WMU played there, the only time there was any noise from BG fans was when Ben Reed came out after halftime and kind of played up to the crowd to get some boos. Other than that, it was a pretty civil crowd.

I'd also like to note Ray Ray's post on hoopfactor how a selection of players he interviewed deemed Anderson, and University Arena to be #1 and 2 respectively in toughest places to play. It's a shame we will only play once this season

My 2 favorite AA memories were Jeff Miller from my old high school setting the High School scoring record of 43 points against Lorain Admiral King in 1965 and (my all time favorite) the "knife was still in the body " steal by Bob Conroy, Jr. who stripped "Monk" Montgomery of the ball with seconds left and bg leading the Rockets. Conroy fed to Mike Larson who scored the winning basket just before time expired. John Weinert's face turned the same shade of pus yellow as his coat. Ah, yes, the memories.
AA is a fun venue but I have to think it costs you folks a lot of recruits. And anyone who says they wouldn't trade it for Eastern's facility, well....

AA best quality is its ability to magnify the sound that is created in it. But yes it is behind the times as far the overall facility goes. If we just create the same ambiance in a newer bigger arena we'd be set.

I stand corrected. My favorite memory of AA is of Pat Daley's face turning pus yellow. Weinert didn't come along until later per an observant falcon source.

Yeah, Pat Daley (also misspelled I think) is the guy from Put-in BAy. Apparantly I have no memories from AA and no memory period!
