Omar needs another year as falcon....

Post by Falconboy »

Thats the way I see it. Omar still have lots to prove as qb even with all of his given talent. He needs to mature as a leader and he still has yet to show that yet. I hope Omar stays big time. I'm still not sold on Anthony Turner at all yet.

Wow.. we're already assuming next season will be a debacle given the schedule and it's not even 24 hours since this season (barring the outcome of the Akron game) ended.
Great Support!
I agree....so does Mrs. Freak. She was very tired of hearing all the negative comments coming out of some "Fans" last night at the Doyt. She thought the comments were ugly and nasty. Especially with the Freaklings there...no need for that kind of language. And these comments were coming from OUR fans.

Akron could very well lose tomorrow...they have been up and down all year. They beat NIU then lost to CMU at home. They lost to Army and beat us in our house. They played like crap at Ball State and then beat Ohio by 24. That was last week. Time for the "down" Zips to show up.

I still have visions of heading to Detroit on 12/1. 6-5 ain't what I envisioned but that's life. And I still am a Falcon fan today and always will be.

As far as Omar? I don't know. I see both sides of this coin.

Agreed. Most of you need to put down the bottle, pull your heads out of your proverbial arses and take a looooong break.

You all fail to realize that there is turnover every year in college football. Teams and coaches deal with it as best as they possibly can - year in and year out.

I for one really hope Omar is back. I think another year of college ball can only help him get ready for the NFL. It sure can't hurt him from an experience standpoint. Now will it increase his stock in the draft? I don't know. But I can honestly say I do not think he is ready at all for the NFL right now. But whether it is this year or next, he will get some looks. I just think he needs to develop more as a player and he can get plenty more of that being the #1 QB in college than he can as a #3 or #4 QB on an NFL roster. Of course, he'd make money to carry a clipboard than he would returning to BG. :?

To me, this season and Omar have one big thing in common. Lots of potential, but came up short in the outcome. Omar didn't have a season like we thought he would have (even despite being injured), and neither did our team. I see next year as a major rebuilding year, but to be honest, I don't think our record may look much different. Going 6-5 this season was a major disappointment to many including me, but I completely think we are capable of mathing that mark next season, and that could be an achievement. Just my opinion.

Our D has come full circle this year and so now again playing better, and we can expect that next year they will again be very stingy.
My vote for the June Cleaver quote of the year!
and this from Eddie hasklell.

We are going to be greatly improved next season, i will venture to say it will border on most memorable.

I think he should stay in till he graduates. I would. You can lose multiMillion dollar contracts and you can lose your position on the team, but they can never take your education away from you. It would be great if he can make a career out of playing a game but in the end its still a game.
Get your Degree Omar!! Thats what John Wayne would have done.
I'm about to graduate. Time to go out a get a real job.
