Hey, check it out everyone, this guy's taken lessons on rudeness from CaliSooner!
There are only two options here.
A- You're joking, and it's tasteless, or
B- You're an idiot.
Either way, you don't make a very good impression, my friend.

Oh, I don't know. When I was in school, I knew a couple of Clarinet players who could chuck a trombone 'bout 25 yards or so. Can't imagine well they would handle one of those paperclip looking things.Ornithologist wrote:I know it won't happen because most of those "squeaky stick" players probably couldn't handle a real instrument. It's a great thought though.

Whoa whoa whoa...we don't need to bring CaliSooner into the band forum. I will agree Ornothologist is part idiot though. It's in the blood and why I am an idiot too...think about itFliccGirl wrote:Hey, check it out everyone, this guy's taken lessons on rudeness from CaliSooner!

Hey, I don't mind being hated; it's entertaining.
It was just the "real instrument" comment that ticked me off, because it made the flute out to be an instrument solely for people with low IQs, which (hi) the people in my section aren't.
Don't get me wrong, we don't mind getting made fun of any more than the next section (we don't even flinch at dog-whistle or American-Pie jokes anymore
), but like anyone else, we don't like being considered worthless. *shrugs*

Lozer never mentioned anyone switching instruments. If you are referring to Ornithologist, I recommend reading the member bios.MatrixBass3 wrote:On the contrary to Lozer, I think the entire trumpet section, or wind section for that matter should switch to piccolo. Kansas' band had like 45,000 of them and let me tell you, I just couldn't get enough of it

*apologizes* Just got a little worked up there... which isn't like me. So it just shows you what a stressful schedule can do to ya!
No hard feelings, Ornithologist?

Well, as normal as it ever gets, then.
But true, as compared to other people, not anywhere close to normal. But most of the time good nevertheless!
I heard some girls on the swim team bashing the band in the Dial today. If I hadn't been cramming for my anatomy midterm I might have gone over and made a scene.
Non-bandees just don't get it.

It'd probably be best next time if you didn't say who was bashing us unless you knew for sure. I'm sure someone will start something about the volleyball girls now...lolFliccGirl wrote: I heard some... um, well, they might have been volleyball players... bashing the band in the Dial today.
