The success Bowling Green and Southern Mississippi have enjoyed with previous Palatka prospects — Charles Sharon at Bowling Green, Trevis and Kevis Coley and Tarvarres Williams at Southern Miss — has helped open doors for Eugene Fells, the inside linebacker who was the Panthers’ leading tackler this fall.
“Easily qualified” academically, according to PHS coach Wilson Edwards, Fells is set to visit Bowling Green the weekend of Dec. 2 and is setting up a trip to Southern Miss.

some news
Well after doing a goggle search and about going crazy trying to find this kid i have some infro on him. His HS team was not very good this year at all they were 3-1 in there division they play in and the over all record was like 5-6. Lots of young kids on the team too and very small as well was a interesting roster to read that was for sure. They had on kid who played DT that was 5-9 and 354. Ok now about Eugene he is 6'2 200 and they had no forty time listed but comeing from florida he has got to be some what fast you would think
He made on the year 99 tackles assisted on 44 more had 2.0 sacks and also recovered 2 fumbles. He also either ran a kickoff or punt back for 7 yards. Give him a year here in our weight room and it sounds like to me he could be come a good LB for us will be interesting to see just how fast he can move though.

According to insiders.com, we have a stud LB from Memphis (6'-2, 220lbs) coming in that day also. He had committed to Ole Miss, but that looks open now....
Seems like a pretty smart move to bring a lot of recvruits in for the groundbreaking. (falconboy, why do you even call yourself a fan of BG sports? I can understand a little healthy pessimism, but you go so far beyond that....)

That's why you send Chuck and Omar out there, and if he starts to get down about the cold, they pull out a few pics of the "Spring Bloom" on Mac Beach!BGSU33 wrote:Let's also hope it doesn't snow that day and that it isn't 15 degrees like it was the other day. I'd hate for Mother Nature to hurt our chances with these southern recruits.
