I believe the teams in '93/'94 creeped into the rankings, but I'm not positive.

Wow thats cool Brewer. I never thought BG ladies basketball was ever ranked before but #20 in '93 was pretty good. I wonder if we can attain that ranking again this year. :D So you people sitting on the "sidelines" going to come join the party this year and see the ladies play? :-\

There are about 18 millions St. Joseph's college/university/tech school/basket weaving academies out there. The one we play is located in Philly and is in the A-10.

I'm guessing this game is an offshoot of the Temple deal with the MAC.

Actually we are not guaranteed to play St. Joe's, the team travels to Philly for St. Joe's tournament. BG plays Delaware, and the other game is Iona vs. St. Joe's. We only play them if both teams win/lose.

Winning two "bigger" programs' tournaments on their home floors in the same season sounds like fun to me.

BG women's hoops were THEE class of the MAC when I was there from 86-90. Fran Voll and Co. won a ton of games and numerous titles. Good to see those days back.

BTW, Amber Flynn is getting great minutes right now and it's good to see here step up her game. I know Coach Miller was very pleased with her conditioning work over the summer and says she's about 20 lbs lighter.

Look out, Falcon women are on a mission!

Yep -- Amber has always had the tools, but I don't think she ever realized how much work was needed to put in to be able to compete. It looks like she learned her lesson in a big way and re-dedicated herself. That's a great thing.

Also, the fact that our freshman are getting quality minutes on a team that is so loaded with talent speaks volumes for the recruiting class.

Whats really great is.....

Post by Falconboy »

This Indiana team the ladies just beat is a senior or 5th year senior laden team. We're almost the complete opposite with a junior laden team with alot of freshman and only one senior in McDowell.
Their roster: I did't believe it when I read here that Indy had girl at 6'7 until I saw the roster , wow!
