Well, I'd have to assume he believes he'll win enough games over the next two years to ignite interest by bigger schools to hire him as head man. I mean, i don't think he's sitting around saying, "Man, we're gonna stink for the next two years. Guess I'll just hang on as long as I can and see what happens."

He maybe should be thinking that.

That's why he is campaigning Omar to stay, so he has the chance at what he really wants in 2 years.

And Lovett doesn't look like he has slept in about 3 months, I wonder if he is regretting his move up North yet?
Wasn't he DC at La Tech for about 2 months in the off-season before ditching them for us? La Tech finished at 7-4.

Maybe.

Some of these NEGATIVE comments are very interesting, because I talked to some other people that were at the banquet and were VERY POSITIVE about the entire banquet, what was said, and the general tone.
It was pointed out that one of the players pointed directly at the recruits in attendance, and said to them, "if you don't come to Bowling Green, you are crazy" or something to that effect.
It is always interesting how some people can hear the same words, but come away with entirely different opinions! I like the positive view myself.

Beckman left for a 200K job. He assists with game planning. He will be OSU's DC in the next 3 yrs.

Lovett truly is "Luther" from coach only not as bright.

There are no members left on the team that actually played for UM or under his system.

Another issue. There is a reason our coaching staff has stayed intact and it's not because of loyalty. The best have left. Bowers should be fired. Lovett can't be fired until after next year. Stud will leave if he gets a chance. Azzani is a question mark but he is destined for bigger things.

Any basis for this? I have always viewed Stud as a guy that would stay forever whether he was head coach, offensive coordinator, or waterboy.

Factman, the player was talking about how cold it gets in BG compared to FL then he remembered the recruits and made a comment regading being part of the football family. He was very emotional.

A lot of the players thought is was very last minute. No highlight tape of each player, just something that was obviously thrown together in a rush.

Stud is a professional coach. He loves BG and I certainly can't speak for him but I think he may be ready to move on. [/quote]

A couple of years ago Stud turned down over $100,000 per year to be an oline coach for O'leary at UCF

I forgot about the UCF offer to Stud but I think he's at or near $100K as our OC and it would have been a lateral move or step down. I'd love to see him as HC at BG but it won't happen soon. I also think there is no love lost between him and GB. We'll know soon.
