What's the story on the UConn tourney?

Post by Bleeding Orange »

By a very strange twist of fate, I have to go and visit UConn's campus sometime over winter break. Because I'm moderately intelligent, I remembered that our Icers are to play in a tourney up there - I believe on Dec. 28+29. Because of my moderate intelligence quotient, the thought has occurred to me these two events justy might coincide. Maybe.

So, what is the deal with this tourney, getting tickets, etc.? Anyone else planning on going? I saw online that UConn's arena only seats 2000, so I want to make sure that I am able to get tickets! Strangely, I didn't find anything on the UConn site about the tourney, but then again I didn't look all that hard, either.

(860) 486-2712, but if you were on the website, you've probably already found that. That's all the info I could find, the number for the arena in Storrs.

this probably works, too... http://uconnhuskies.com/MainLinks/tickets/icetix.html

My experience with holiday tourneys is that walk-up tickets are usually available in good supply.

Anybody traveling to UConn might be interested in this: Sat Dec 31 (the day after the UConn tourny, the Providence Bruins (featuring the Sigalets) play at Hartford (that's Al Montoyo's team). We're planning to stay an extra night.

All except the Mariucci Tournament*.

You have to sell your first-born son to Satan to get Gophers tickets.

*If you're actually playing Minnesota and not one of the 'other' teams.
