When it happens once you just assume that maybe your team couldn't be stopped no matter how hard you tried not to score (like us with Texass A&M), but that's the second time your coach has racked up 70 or more points against a terrible team in the last 2 seasons + 4 games. Going for the score on fourth down. Very classy. You should have had nobody but walk-ons and scout teamers in on offense late in the game. Bad strategy too IMO. Your team is going to think it's stronger than it really is. Reminds of me of Fran beating up on Baylor 73-10 and trying to score late. Not smart and not classy at all. Not a good career move for Brandon either.....people who might otherwise help you tend to remember this later on.

We gave them a chance to stop us. It's not our fault that their kids had quit so badly that they couldn't keep our 4th string TB out of the end zone from 11 yrds out. Kicking the FG on 4th down would have been running up the score. Taking a knee would have been a huge insult. Gregg Brandon did the right thing.

Somebody that doesn't know the facts comes in and says we're running up the score. Look at the stats and you will see we did not throw a passing touchdown the 2nd half. We only completed 20 passess. Our 3rd and 4th stringers were in there and they still couldn't stop us running the ball, even though we were trying to kill the clock!

It's called FOOTBALL and it's a game.

I admit I am not a fan of scoring that many points, but then I am also not a fan of telling a kid that is only getting in the ballgame to mop things up and not getting to play in the real portion of the game to lie down. It's bad enough when the running back is told to run it right into the middle of their line. Can we help it if their defensive line can't tackle.

But I remember Oklahoma and few of the BcS boys hanging points like that on opposing teams.

What was 65-13 against Texas last year? Don't give me that crap it was Texas and justify it that way.

52-9 against Oklahoma State?

68-0 against UTEP in '02

49-3 against Iowa St as well

49-9 against Baylor

and 60-15 against Texas Tech in 2002?

Your team beat Air Force 44-3 and Tulsa 58 - 0 in 2001

and the 2000 season shows four more games against UTEP, Arkansas State, Texas, and Baylor where it appears there was some running up the score.

So you may want to just take that self-rightous, egotistical, moronic, sophomoric, self-serving, pathetic attitude over to one of your own boards ( WAIT A MINUTE - I forgot! Even the Oklahoma fans don't like reading your crap). Oh well, the first amendment gives you the right to be :coo-coo: so I guess I'll just have to continue to hit the delete key when I read your name on a post.

And if another team were to ever hang that many points on BGSU and one of our people would say it was running up the score, I would remind them that it's a game called FOOTBALL and we have scored that many points against several other teams and never complained about it.

And to show your ignorance, the travel roster is 60 players. How the hell do we take walk ons and scout team members?

Are you really that stupid??

And we didn't score 70+ points last year. That was 2002 when we beat Ohio 72-21 and URBAN MEYER was the coach.
At least TRY to get some facts correct.

What would you have done? It's fourth and goal from the 11.

Brandon called a run. And our third- or fourth-stringer scored. On the ground. From the eleven.

Should we have kicked the field goal?

Give me a break.

I have no idea how many players Oklahoma suits up and takes on the road. I have a feeling it's a hell of a lot more than us. This was our second and last flight of the year. Flights cost money. We basically cleared the bench.

If you look at tailback, Dan Macon and Rashaun Stover are our third and fourth stringers, and both got a bunch of touches. I'm almost certain we don't have a a fifth stringer at tailback. If so, I doubt he made the trip.

It's Raishaun not Rashaun  I just felt the need to correct you since others were saying how ESPN can't get Keon's name right.

Most of the second half BG didn't even pass the ball. It wasn't a matter of BG trying to run up the score it was just that we weren't going to punt on first down to make Temple feel better.
