What about a KICKER???

Upson no longer has us listed as a preference on rivals.com.

Remember we do need one of these, two if you want to count punters as well. It didn't cost us a game this year (and for about 4 shining minutes aatthe very end looked like he won one for us) but you can't keep testing fate...

....Especially in a league that has now morphed into "On any given Sunday"

Per the Morningjournal.com, Elyria's PJ Mahone (*** by insiders as a DB/RB) has narrowed his choices to BGSU and Cincinatti. We've missed on a few DB's to Cincy over the past couple od years...I hope we get this one...

Per Rivals, BG will be hosting *** safety ian Conyers. He's the rated 10th best prosepct in Michigan this year.

DT Chris Harrison has chosen the UC Bearcats

According to Insiders.com, Conyers only lists Eastern MI as a school of interest. He visited there last weekend.

Sure hope we aren't trying to steal guys from EMU.

From the Sunsentinel.com...

"Dillard (FL) wide receiver Kendrick Johnson is working on dates with two Big 12 programs. Kendrick, committed to Clemson, said he wants to "check out" other schools. Johnson will be at Oklahoma State, Bowling Green, Colorado and Georgia."

Johnson is a *** WR per Rivals.

Coach Springer has been at Fostoria multiple times to see Marcus Hyde (qb/db) that would probably play at the safety position in college. He goes about 6'2'' 205 right now. Eastern has also been at the school multiple times. Marcus has taken trips to Mich St., Iowa, and Wisconsin as well.

Thank, pardonfan....

from Hakes' brother over on buckeye planet...

"Actually Oregon is an option as they are picking up 3 qb's in this class. Sean went to Akron thinking he would go check it out but kinda wasn't that interested because he liked the offense and coaches at BG so much. When he visited he really changed his mind after seeing the indoor facility, campus, and really looking at their offense closer (similar to denver broncos). Sean is looking at making his decision within the next couple weeks. Iowa has been calling and came and visited him at school so if they offer this week they will get a visit, if not they will be crossed off. Oregon is making their decision on Sean this week as well, if they offer they will get a visit as well if not they'll be eliminated as well. The reason Sean is not going to wait on these teams is because he is graduating early and will be at the school of his choice in spring. Florida called him this week but it's a little late to start recruiting him right before his decision. Iowa State also came to see Sean and wanted him to play Safety or Linebacker... thought that was funny, they said they felt he was going to fill out his frame aand weigh around 225-240lbs. I'll know more info after the visit to BG this weekend, where his host will be Omar Jacobs."

I really like the looks of this kid based on the video I saw...

Flipper,

I totally agree. The video that was posted in one of the forums a few weeks back was very impressive with Hakes pinpointing several throws and hitting receivers in stride and allowing athletes to make plays. Hakes would provide a very live competition for AT and Freddie in the spring and we'll see how well Sheehan's shoulder is healing up as well.

At the hockey game last night a bunch of the players coaches and recurits were at the game. I was hopeing to get to see Omar and the kid from TX but they didn't come. The kid from PH was there though and from where i was sitting it was kinda hard to acutally judge how tall he was but from what i could tell he did not really look to be 6'4 maybe 6'3 at the most. Coach Stud really gets involved in the game everytime we would score he was up and clapping very hard :L:

 Awesome, Drew! (Though if you have confirmation on his San Diego St. boxers, please keep that info to yourself!)

I think it's great to hear about players and coaches supporting other sports like that. It just adds to the "family" thing alot of players talk about when asked why they like BG.

Did one of the potential recruits drop his wallet, walk say, oh, 40 yards away from it, and then dash back as fast as he could to get it?

Last year "sorority night" at the hockey game just so happened to coincide with the final weekend of recruiting for football.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence....

HAHA!

I gotta pay closer attention to those promotions...anyone know when Sorority night is this year? A hot sorority chick that appreciates hockey? Sounds like it'd be a good catch to me...
