Yeah, but as you pointed it out that was ENDORSEMENT money. If he were actually being paid as a pro skier he would've been eligible for football. If it's strictly the salary from playing a pro sport it's been done many times. Its a fine line making sure that you're only taking your salary and no additional compensation, but it can be done.

I'd have to look it up, but I believe Drew Henson was actually making a 6 figure salary from the Yankees when he was playing for UM, on his initial draft contract. It was his second contract that he signed that disallowed him from playing football. Not sure what his baseball money was, but he would've been a top 5 pick if he had stuck with football for one year...he might've made a dumb move.

The poster in that thread seems to be pretty confident that he is heading to BG. If BG hasn't offered him a scholarship, it would be nice to see him end up as a walk-on at UT. He sounds like he has the size to play TE after a year or so. UT will lose two senior TEs next year, so he could have the chance to earn a scholarship. Has anyone heard if BG has offered him a scholarship?

By the way that poster sounds, he's headed to BG but it doesn't say that they offered him.
UT is listed in the 2004 edition of The Unofficial, Unbiased Guide to the 328 Most Interesting Colleges by Trent Anderson and Seppy Basili as one of the U.S. schools with the “Most Beautiful Urban Campus.”

From a very good source, he has been offered by both BG and Toledo. After the state tourney run he had, is holding out for possible big ten offers. This kid could be a legit receiving threat from day 1 at BG. He would be a perfect reciever for the Falcons.

Thanks. It sounds like then if he doesn't get the B10 offers, he's headed to BG. That's the info I was looking for. I appreciate it.

Mark Krauss is NOT a candidate to be a "walk-on". He is a top notch receiver, and will receive a full scholarship, where ever he chooses to go. He is about 6'4", maybe 215#. He is also an excellent baseball player.
According to a very reliable source he also carries a 4.0 GPA - how about an academic scholarship  Anyway, looks like he is a very smart guy in addition to the physical skills. I gotta think someone in the Big Ten will grab him (if that is really what he wants).
