Band CD
Hey I've heard about a CD that has all the great BG marching band songs. I'm just wondering if there is one somewhere, how i could purchase one, some of the songs on it, and how much? Thanks.

They were selling the "Pride" CD for awhile in the bookstore. It has all the school songs and a lot of the stand tunes on it. I'm not sure if they still have 'em, but contacting the bookstore would probably be your best bet, as far as I know.

In addition, the nice members of the FMB also have bee known to post MP3's of the CDs that come out each year. That is, until some tool complains, threatens to sue, and then they're pulled.
I got Sounds of the Stadium from last year though.

Stand tunes aren't generally on the seasonal CDs. The ones that get put out every year have the school songs and the show tunes only, at least every since my sophomore year.BGSU Crazy Fan 58 wrote:ummm.........beer barrel polka, school's out, you can call me all, just alot of the songs that are played at the hockey and baskeball games before the games and at intermissions and stuff.
And I'm not sure which stand tunes are on the "Pride" CD... not all the A-band songs are FMB stand tunes, so they may not be on it, but I'm not sure... I know Beer Barrel is, and Hey Baby, and Screamer, and Shake a Tail Feather.... hmm, I really need to get that CD.

I uploaded the Beer Barrel Polka, I think it's from the 1997 FMB CD. I'll have to rip the other songs and upload them when i get home from work.

Beer Barrel dates back to the 1850's and was written by a Czech musician. I'm not sure which version ours is composed from, but the original is considered public domain, as are most of the original arrangements. This means that it can be freely distributed and the arrangement contains no copyright so it does not violate any copyright laws.

Our version is considered a school song and therefore it wasn't a song I was talking about. Thanks for trying to be smart.CodeMonkey wrote:Beer Barrel dates back to the 1850's and was written by a Czech musician.
