Man, I hope you are right. Really, but does anyone else worry that this is going to make us too small? Or mabe a 3 man rotation (2 at a time) with Lafeld, Marschall and Soler (for example). Just thinking it would be difficult to play these three at the same time. And what about Floyd/Moon?edr4225 wrote:

Uh......forget Moon. I really wouldn't care if he never saw the floor again.JWEIII wrote:Man, I hope you are right. Really, but does anyone else worry that this is going to make us too small? We're going to be too small no matter what lineup we have on the floor methinks. We might as well go small on purpose and maybe at the least attempt the other coach to go small with us. That would be our best hope to compete -- if our 3 guard look is unstoppable until the other team has to go three-guard with us.JWEIII wrote:Man, I hope you are right. If we shoot well, rebounding won't matter as much. I would love to have a line up of Samarco, Wright and Moten out there on the floor.
Wright will have a lot of room to get to the basket because the defense is going to have to stay out to respect Samarco and Moten's shooting (assuming Moten is the shooter he's advertised as)

We are what you all call a small team because we are in the MAC. If you want huge centers and PFs, go cheer on another conference like the Big Ten. Seriously, the MAC is not known for post players and never really has been. The MAC is known for producing guards and maybe you will all disagree, but I think the MAC has better guards than most of the other conferences.

I don't know if I'd say better, but you're right on with where our talent lies. There is, and has been in past years, some very good guard talent in the MAC. Conversely, there are very rarely any top notch post players in the conference. Yes, I'd like to have one or two that can play the positions for depth, if for nothing else, but when you get down to it post guys are hard to find. There are only one or two really good ones at the NBA level, so imagine how difficult it is to fight the other 300+ teams for post guys.Metz wrote:We are what you all call a small team because we are in the MAC. This is great to hear about Moten. When UVA backed off I was really worried that he might never be eligible for us, a la Harwell, but this is a good sign. From all accounts the kid has a ton of talent, and it sounds like he's a hard worker too. Hopefully he'll continue with the hard work both on the court and in the classroom and we'll have ourselves something special
To 87...
Yeah, they have one or two every now and then, but my comment still stands. A lot of teams have 6'6"-6'9" guys playing the 4 spot in our league. Centers are hard to come by like hammb said, and when you do get one, they are as ugly as Kaman and camp in the key all day.
