BG 28 Fresno State 21

One of the great wins in BG history. I don't ever remember a BG team that had as much heart as that one. That was truly a special season.

I was there..
The family flew to Vegas.. then drove to Fresno in a rental car to watch the game... and what a game it was.

We were at Brathaus watching it. JD pulled out a bottle of champagne and drenched all of us after the last play.
Man, that was great- but I refuse to believe it was 14 years ago!

Remember when BG converted a 3rd and 30 (White to Szlachic) and Phil Villipiano ran out on the field high-fiving people and got a 15 yard penalty? Classic.

The last California Raisin Bowl. That crowd hated us. They were stunned. It was truly one of the greatest games to be at.

Watched the game at a bar on the West Side of Cleveland and was 10 minutes late getting to my weekend air shift at WONE in Akron....but so well worth it.

Seeing Villipiano hiding is head in shame on the sidelines was hilarious! Luckily it didn't cost us anything.

Great game with a great ending...seeing Kevin O'Brien rolling his fists after the 3rd down stop at the BG 4 yd line was fun...

My dad was able to tape it but the quality is fair at best these days...it was on the old Sportschannel. I watch it every once in a while.

BG led the MAC that year in points per game at 22 and yards per game with a little over 320. My how times have changed.

Thanks for brining up the memory!
