MTN Splashes Millions On Subscribers InYafunYafun Promo
For a host of MTN subscribers, it was time to cheer and celebrate as the telecoms company recently splashed cash prizes and various gift items on the lucky customers for participating in the just concluded YafunYafun Promo.
Stephen Enekwenchi, Joseph Awolope, AbdulhamidMaigadi, NasiruAliyuLuggah and Femi Owolabi, were the star prize winners of 2 million naira each for their participation in the SMS-based game promo. 10 other subscribers also emerged winners in the N300, 000 and N100, 000 category while household items like Generating sets, iPhones, Samsung Galaxy A7, Samsung 40 inched LED Television, were gifted to some other winners.
For 42 years old Femi Owolabi, one of the N2 million winners, it was a much-needed bailout for his dying business venture. The Ekiti-born entrepreneur commended MTN for providing the platform for subscribers to better their living.
“I’m very grateful to MTN for this prize money. I didn’t even see it coming but trust me when I say it is a life-saver especially as my business has been slow. I’m definitely investing this money to bring my business back to life. Thank you MTN!” he enthused.
Speaking on the promo, MTN’s Senior Manager, Customer Relations, Lagos and South West; Mr. Sonny Onyegbula during the prize presentation, said one of the major reasons for introducing the reward scheme is to help Nigerians through the economic downtime being faced in the country.
“MTN YafunYafun is a reward scheme that we have introduced to reward our subscribers for some brain work and particularly assist them through this economic downtime through prize winnings. Today, we have made new millionaires and improve standard of living with these household items. This is in line with our mandate of enriching lives,” he said.
Other dignitaries who were present at the epoch- making ceremony include Senior Manager, Business Development, National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Mr Nwakuche Durugo; Senior Legal Officer of the commission, Mr Arinze Ezean; Actuarial Consultant at Alexander Forbes Consultants & Actuaries Limited, Saliu Francisco; Media Planning Manager, MTN Nigeria, Shuaib Abubakar.
