Court Remands Tailor Over Alleged Murder Of Vulcanizer
For alleged killing of a vulcanizer in Osogbo, an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo has ordered that 34 years old Saheed Adekunle a tailor be remanded at Ilesa Prison Custody.
Though the accused person, Sunday Oderinde opted to stand trial in the court, his plea was not taken.
Police prosecutor, Duro Adekunle told the court that the accused person committed the crime on the 8th of March, 2017 at Sabo area, Osogbo.
He explained that the accused person killed the deceased by hitting his head with a stone and strangling his neck.
Adekunle added that the offence committed by the accused person is contrary to Section 316(1) and punishable under Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 34, volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
The presiding Magistrate, Adenike Olowolagba ordered that the Sunday Oderinde be remanded at Ilesa Prison Custody as she adjourned the case till the 15th of May, 2017.
