Kidnappers Paid Me N.1m To Cook For Them- Suspect
A suspect in the abductions of a female police Sergeant attached to the Ketu division and a lawyer at Epe area of Lagos identified as Mimo Blessing has said that he was specifically invited from Ondo State and paid N100,000 to prepare food for the kidnappers and their victims.
The 20-year-old Blessing who was among the three suspects arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, recently, in connection with the crime said he specialises in preparing junk food in a jiffy and was given N100, 000 for his services from the N5m ransom collected from the family of the abducted lawyer.
He added that he was not at the scene when the victim was kidnapped around Ketu.
According to him, a man he met at a motor park in Ondo State where he earned a living as a luggage carrier, identified as Tallest, invited hm over to render the service to the gang and their victims.
“One day, I accosted him to buy food for me and he gave me N500 with his phone number and I called him later to thank him. Then two weeks ago, he called me that he had a job for me in Lagos, I was very happy and I relocated to Lagos without hesitation.
“Tallest asked me to be cooking for them and for the people they kidnapped too. It was Tallest that called me on phone to come and work for him in Lagos,” he explained.
Blessing said he came to Lagos the day the lawyer was kidnapped and started cooking for all of them adding that “the lawyer was returned a day after the ransom was paid.”
He said he went back to Ondo to pay his exam fee and also gave N60, 000 to one of the gang members he became close with for safe keep.
