Osun APC Cleanses PDP Rally Venue
Loyalists of the All Progressives Congress APC in Osun State Sunday trooped out in large numbers to clean Osogbo and the venue of the rally held on Saturday by the South-West People’s Democratic Party PDP.
The Freedom Park, Osogbo venue of the event was filled to capacity by broom-carrying men and women led by the Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famoodun and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Bashiru Ajibola.
Addressing participants before the commencement of what he tagged “Cleansing polluted land” Prince Famoodun retreated the need for the cleansing adding that the venue supposed to be used neatly because of social, religious and political events that takes place there.
He castigated the opposition PDP for steering the ship of the state for about eight years with nothing to show for it adding that the Freedom Park venue of the event was one of the numerous achievements of Aregbesola administration.
Also speaking, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Osun, Dr. Bashiru Ajibola said the party embarked on the symbolic sweeping to sweep away hunger and poverty brought to the state by PDP.
Bashiru said that APC was unshaken by the PDP rally, saying Osogbo is the bedrock of APC in the state.
He noted that the few people that defected from the party were no longer important to the party.
The Commissioner lauded governor Rauf Aregbesola and encouraged the people of Osun State against allowing a never-do-well politicians to come to power in the state.
Ajibola stressed the need for continuity in the on going all round development of Osun state adding that the ruling APC is the only party that has the potentials that can lead the state to the promised land.
