Mob Sets Suspected Kidnappers Ablaze In Osun
Two women suspected to be kidnappers were on Thursday lynched by irate mob in Iwo, Osun state.
It was gathered that the deceased and one others at run were allegedly caught trying to kidnap school pupils and were unable to defend their action.
According to the eye witness who spoke on condition of anonymity, those who apprehended the suspects were leading them to the palace of the Oluwo of Iwo when some people prevailed on them to rather take them to the police station.
Unfortunately according to the witness, some people identified as hoodlums hijacked the process and set two of the three persons apprehended ablaze while the only man among them took to his heels.
The incident that happened at the junction adjacent the former branch office of Wema Bank, along Oja Ale in the town made traders in the area locked up their shops for fear of arrest.
Recalled that a den of kidnappers where human skulls were found was recently exposed in the town.
