NCoS’ Partners INEC On Osun Gubernatorial Election
As the Osun State gubernatorial election, slated for 16th July, 2022 draws near, the Controller of Corrections, Osun State Command, CC Olanrewaju Amoran, has assures the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to collaborate with other security agencies for the successful conduct of the election.
Amoran gave the assurance while playing host to the new Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Prof. Abdulganiy Olayinka Raji at the Command Headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital.
The Controller assured the REC of the full cooperation of the service when the need arises. His words, “as a security agency we promise you the best. We are advocate of peace and tranquility. We have well qualified officers who can provide adequate security during elections.”
He affirmed that his officers’ performances during election duties have been outstanding adding that previous elections duty reports lay credence to this.
Earlier in his speech, Prof. Raji while thanking the Controller noted that NCoS has been a critical stakeholder in the conduct of free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.
He appreciates the service for the good works being done, and pledged to continuously be in touch with the Service.
NCoS is a member of Inter-Agengy Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), at the Federal, State and local government levels.
