Osun Monarch Lament Growing State Of Insecurity In Edeland
Timi of Edeland, Oba (Dr) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, has raised the alarm over the growing state of Insecurity in his domain with a call for immediate intervention by relevant authorities.
The monarch at a press conference in his palace on Thursday blamed the scenario on members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Ya-Salam Vigilantee and the Cultists in Edeland.
He lamented that residents in Ede can no longer sleep with their eyes closed adding that the security situation of the ancient town today is pathetic, unbearable and has degenerated to a level where everybody is vulnerable to attack and injuries.
“The undisclosed personal grudge between the individual members of OPC. National Hunter Association, Ya Salam Vigilantee Group and the Cultists metamorphosised into the serious war the community is waging now.
“It is therefore very imperative that the governments and other Security Stakeholders should swing into action by quick intervene to avoid further loss of life and property. It is very uncultured to seeing human blood flowing in the day light. Life has no meaning to these intoxicated blood suckers.
The community has recently suffered loss of lives and properties in various clashes among the warring groups in dangerous show of superiority.
The monarch mandated them to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign in Ede and its environment saying that enough of panic, pandemonium and unnecessary tension in Edeland.
