NBTE Accredits 25 Programmes, Approves 4 For Commencement At Osun College Of Tech
Follow the accreditation exercise conducted by the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) in September, 2023, the body has granted approval for four new programmes and accredited 25 existing programmes for Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.
A statement made available to journalists in Osogbo by the institution Public Relations Officer, Mr Ajilore Abayomi stated that NBTE in its report communicated to the Rector, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke gave credence to the accreditation and approval of the programmes
“NBTE in its report communicated to the Rector, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke in the letter dated 31st October and signed by the Director of Academic Programmes, Arc. Ngbede Ogba on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Professor Idris M. Bugaje, grated approval to the institution to commence four new programmes beginning from 2023/2024 academic session”
According to Abayomi, the newly approved 4 programmes include: ND Public Administration, HND Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing option), ND Water Resources Engineering Technology, and ND Welding Engineering Technology.
The accredited programmes are: ND Marketing, ND Taxation, ND Office Technology and Management, HND Business Administration and Management, ND Library and Information Science, ND Photography, ND Civil Engineering Technology, ND Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Electronic/Telecommunication option), ND Mechanical Engineering Technology, ND Surveying and Geo-informatics.
Others include:ND Quantity Surveying, HND Quantity Surveying, ND Urban and Regional Planning, ND Statistics, HND Computer Science, HND Science Laboratory Technology (Physics with Electronic option), HND Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology option), HND Science Laboratory Technology ( Chemistry option), HND Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry option), ND Arts and Industrial Design, HND Science Laboratory Technology (Environmental Biology option), ND Multimedia Technology,Computer Engineering Technology and
ND Agricultural Technology.
