Fatal Accident Claims Five In Osogbo

No fewer than five persons died in a fatal accident involving a tricycle and a commercial bus with registration number RBC15ZN along Osogbo West Bye-pass, Osogbo, in the early hours of yesterday.

It was gathered that five occupants of the tricycle which included four pupils and the driver of the cycle reportedly died instantly in the accident.

Though the cause of the accident cannot be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, but an eyewitness blamed the accident on reckless driving.

The deceased were deposited at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital morgue while the injured were also taken to the emergency unit of the hospital.

Meanwhile, Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed his sadness at the news of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of some school pupils and others.

Responding to the incident, Governor Adeleke in a statement by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed expressed deep pain at the disturbing occurrence and convey the sympathy and government of Osun State to the families of the affected families
