I’m Not A Virgin, Have Three Children – Wife Of Pastor’s Adopted Son
The woman who married Aboy Chibuzor, the non-verbal autistic young man adopted and raised by the founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has clarified that she is a widow and mother of three children.
The clarification came hours after the wedding took place on Sunday amid public debate.
Many expressed scepticism about the motives behind the matchmaking, with some suggesting it could be a financial opportunity for the bride.
Others raised concerns over whether the bride was a virgin, despite her being a visibly older woman.
In response, Pastor Chinyere asked the yet-to-be-named woman about her marital life.
“I am not a virgin, I am a mother of three; the father of my children is late,” she said.
She further explained that she is from Edo State and grew up in Rivers State, her mother’s state of origin.
Chinyere sought a wife for Aboy, who is non-verbal and requires assistance with daily activities, with financial pledges for the bride and groom including ₦10 million, a house, and an overseas vacation.
Chinyere noted that Aboy requires full-time care, including feeding, bathing, and other daily assistance.
The initial proposal sparked widespread criticism, with many describing it as inappropriate and demeaning to women.
The cleric later apologised, saying he “can never degrade any woman.”
In an update on Sunday, Chinyere shared photos of the wedding on Facebook, expressing optimism about the union.

“A member of OPM church also donated 1 million Naira and another donated 200k.

“And I believe before 6 months GOD will heal and he will begin to speak. THERE IS NOTHING GOD CAN NOT DO.”
