VC Assures Of Enabling Environment As UNIOSUN Matriculates 678 Postgraduate Students
Vice Chancellor, Osun State University, (UNIOSUN), Prof. Odunayo Clement Adebooye has assured the instruction’s newly admitted six hundred and seventy eight (678) postgraduate students of enabling environmental to succeed in their academic pursuit in the citadel of learning.
Speaking at the 11th matriculation ceremony of postgraduate students of the institution on Wednesday, the vice chancellor however tasked the students to let their research work address real societal challenges and make their ideas to transform communities.
“At Osun State University, we provide you with an enabling environment, experienced faculty, and the necessary academic support to excel. However, your success will ultimately depend on your dedication, discipline, and integrity”.
“The world today is in dire need of innovative thinkers, problem solvers, and ethical leaders. Let your research address real societal challenges. Let your ideas transform communities. Let your contributions make a difference”.
He warned the matriculating students against all forms of academic misconduct adding that they should uphold the highest standards of scholarship and allow their work to speak for them.
The vice chancellor encouraged the students to be focused, resilient, and purposeful saying that the journey may be demanding, but it will undoubtedly be rewarding.
Prof Adebooye noted that the university is committed to maintaining a stable and uninterrupted academic calendar by ensuring that their students graduate as and when due which has become a defining feature of the institution.
This according to him was not achieved by accident but the result of deliberate planning, disciplined execution, and a shared vision of excellence.
While commending the dedication and commitment to maintain standards of the management and staff of the Postgraduate College under the leadership of the Acting Provost of the College, Professor Oguntola Jelili Alamu, Adebooye noted that their efforts continued to position the university as a hub of academic excellence.
