Stay Away From Falomo Mosque- MURIC Warns LABSCA
The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LABSCA), a government parastatal under the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, sealed up Falomo Mosque, Ikoyi, this afternoon.
We find LABSCA’s action outrageous and provocative. How can a mosque which is scheduled for Id festival prayers tomorrow morning be sealed today, Tuesday, 26th May, 2026?
*This is the height of insensitivity. Who is out to frustrate Lagos Muslims? Who is bent on stoking the fire of religious crisis in Lagos State? 24 hours to I’d al-kabiir prayers! The timing is curious.*
*We demand immediate removal of the seal from our mosque. Every necessary document has been procured for the construction. We also call on His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to intervene.*
