Arsenal Agree Deal To Sign 17-year-old Georgian Forward

Arsenal have reached a pre-contract agreement to sign Georgian forward Andria Bartishvili, with the 17-year-old set to join the Premier League club in July 2027.

Arsenal announced the agreement on their official website on Friday, saying the deal was subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

Bartishvili, who will turn 18 when he moves to north London, can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder.

He is currently on loan at Iberia 1999 in the Georgian top flight, having joined the club from Kolkheti 1913, who play one division below.

Arsenal said Bartishvili made his Erovnuli Liga debut with Kolkheti in 2025 and was named the division’s best Under-17 player at the end of the season.

The teenager moved to Iberia 1999 for the 2026 season and scored his first professional goal in May, netting the winner in a 1-0 victory over Gagra.

At international level, Bartishvili has progressed through Georgia’s youth teams.

Arsenal said, “Having impressed in his two under-16s appearances, he moved up to the under-17s, where he scored on his debut against Slovenia.”

The club added that after his spell at Under-17 level, “the winger moved up to under-18s and quickly under-21s, where he has now made two appearances for Georgia.”

Announcing the agreement, Arsenal said, “We are delighted to announce we’ve reached a pre-contract agreement to sign Georgian forward Andria Bartishvili in July 2027.”

The club said, “Everyone at Arsenal looks forward to Andria’s arrival next summer and wishes him luck for the rest of this season at Iberia 1999.”

The deal remains subject to the completion of regulatory processes, the club noted.
