Tinubu Greets Amb Enikanolaiye On His Birthday
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu warmly congratulates the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday on September 14.
The President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.
Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. He later served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations before he was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
President Tinubu commends the celebrant’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s diplomatic service through his assignments at the ministry’s headquarters and in missions abroad.
The President also acknowledges Ambassador Enikanolaiye’s contributions to the formulation and implementation of Nigeria’s foreign policy and to the country’s multilateral engagements at the United Nations, African Union, Commonwealth and other international organisations.
President Tinubu describes Enikanolaiye’s appointment as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs as a fitting recognition of his exemplary record of service and extensive diplomatic experience. He is confident Ambassador Enikanolaiye will continue to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic institutions and advance the country’s interests on the global stage.
“Ambassador Enikanolaiye, your distinguished career has been defined by professionalism, intellectual depth, discipline and an unwavering commitment to Nigeria.
