AD Set To Take Mantle Of Leadership In Osun- Chairman
Chairman Alliance for Democracy AD in Osun state Mr. Pade Fakunle has directed the All Progressives Congress APC administration in the State to start winding up for AD to occupy the governor’s office.
Addressing members and supporters of a governorship aspirant, Mr Olugbenga Akintola in Osogbo at the weekend, Mr Fakunle reminded the gathering that AD government led by Chief Adebisi Akande built the government secretariat named Bola Ige House.
He noted that Alliance for Democracy government in Osun State during the administration of Chief Akande embarked on programmes and projects that impacted positively on the people of Osun despite paucity of fund adding that an AD government will repeat the fit when elected.
He opined that Osun State and Nigeria at large need a platform outside the two leading political parties for speedy development.
Mr Olugbenga Akintola during the submission of his letter of intent to contest the governorship election on the platform of the party said the party was ready to change the socio-economic face of the state and create wealth.
He said he was in the race to solve the menace of unemployment amongst the youths and make them more committed to the advancement of nationhood.
Akintola argued that the present government in the state lacks the savvy and the political will to combine human and material resources for economic growth.
According to him, any state that fails to protect the economic interests of its working class and pensioners alike has indeed failed in all ways.
