Akeredolu Set To Swear-in 18 Commissioners
There are indications that the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) will next week swear in the 18 Commissioners of the state.
The Chief Press Secretary to governor, Mr. Segun Ajiboye who hinted on this on Wednesday said the moves is to ensure accelerated development in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
Ajiboye said, the event would take place in Akure, the state capital.
The state Assembly had on August 15 screened and confirmed 18 commissioner-nominees fifteen days after their names were sent to it by the Governor.
The names of the eighteen nominees that were confirmed by the Assembly on Tuesday are; Femi Agagu, (Okitipupa), Gboyega Adefarati, (Akoko South West), Taofeek Abdusalam (Akoko North East), Yemi Olowolabi, (Idanre), Wale Akinterinwa, ( Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo), Wahab Adegbenro (Ifedore), Solagbade Amodeni, (Akoko South East); Rasheed Badmus, (Akoko North West).
Others are ;Omowumi Olatunji (Akure South), Emmanuel Igbasan, (Irele), Funso Esan, (Ilaje) ,Olurimisi Ismaila, (Odigbo), Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, (Akure North), Ojogo Donald (Ese-Odo), Bayonle Ademodi, (Ondo East), Lola Fagbemi, (Ondo West), Timilehin Adelegbe, (Ose), Kole Olawoye, (Owo).
Ajiboye said ,the governor has also approved the appointment of Rt. Hon. Oluwasegunota Bolarinwa as the Senior Special Assistant on Legislative Matters.
Oluwasegunota Bolarinwa who was a former Speaker in state House of Assembly, replaces Rt. Hon. Taofeek Abdusallam, who has been appointed as commissioner.
Also, the governor has approved the appointments of Mrs. Bunmi Ademosu and Mr. Boye Oyewunmi as Special Advisers.
Before this appointment, Ademosu and Oyewunmi were Senior Special Assistants on Public & Inter Government Relations and Development & Investment respective.
