Gold Development Initiative, a non-governmental and not-for-profit body, has put finishing touches to its sixth annual entrepreneurial summit for young and aspiring entrepreneurs who desire to build world class business and organizations.
The summit is organized annually across Nigeria as part of fulfilling her social mandate of improving the social economic conditions of individuals and the community in which they live.
Lagos State is hosting the sixth edition on November 12, 2016.
According the Initiator of the summit idea, Princess Adedoyin Adediwura: “We recognize that our country is at crossroads.
“With the depleting resources from our once abundant oil fields and the crashed income from crude oil, it is obvious that we have no choice but to embrace value adding entrepreneurial activities.
“While a majority of young Nigerians desire to own and run those own businesses, it is obvious, from the high failure rate of young businesses, that there is a knowledge gap that ensures that most new businesses struggle to live up to the expectations of its founders.”
The summit will provide practical sessions from successful entrepreneurs who have labored to build businesses in this economy.
These include Olusegun Dada, the Chairman of the National Association of small scale industrialists, Ogun State chapter; Femi Abiodun, a UK trained business and career coach; and Dr. Kunle Hamilton, the highly talented motivational speaker and MD of Virgin Outdoor Resources.
The good news, according to the organizers, is that the event is totally free.
It will hold at The Ville, 302a, Murtala Mohammed Way, Yaba, Lagos.
