Democracy Day: Balarabe Musa’s Son Leads Protest Over Hardship In Kaduna
Kasim Balarabe Musa, son of late Balarabe Musa, Second Republic Governor of old Kaduna State and leader of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), has led a peaceful protest on Democracy Day in Kaduna calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign.
While leading the protest, Kasim told the teeming PRP members that there was no single achievement of the President worthy of being celebrated on Democracy Day, because the country had retrogressed in many aspects.
According to him, his late father and other pro-Democracy Activists like Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Senator Shehu Sani sacrificed a lot for the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria, but regretted the situation the country had found itself.
He said things have deteriorated in the country, citizens were disturbed due to high cost of essential items, ” poor Nigerians cannot feed in spite of the wealth Nigeria is endowed with.”
He urged the President to re strategies with a view to bringing an end to the problems debilitating the country, adding that if the President was overwhelmed, he should resign
